It had also been previously teased via Twitter on November 5th, 2019. On November 12, 2019, one day before its release, Eilish teased a 12-second snippet of the track via Instagram. A year before the track’s release, an eight second instrumental clip of “everything i wanted” could be heard in the background of one of Eilish’s Instagram stories.
