“Terrified” describes Gambino’s realization of the fact that the woman from “California” is the one for him. He claims although he knows she does a lot of bad things, he will still go after her. The song has a smooth guitar vibe with original instruments, contrasting the lyrics which seem to have a hasty content. The song was performed at the 2018 Grammys with JD McCrary.
