Moon River - Single
Wiki:
Frank dropped this song on his YouTube account “Blonded” and his Tumblr with the caption “in the late nite” by surprise the night after Valentine’s Day, 2018. The song is a cover of the 1961 ballad “Moon River” written by Johnny Mercer and Henry Mancini and performed by Audrey Hepburn for her starring role in the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s: An everlasting search or quest for love appears as a persisting motif throughout the track. Frank details the chaotic adventure frequently associated with “chasing after our rainbow’s end” – seemingly love in this case. Prior to “Moon River”, Ocean has not shied away from examining the effect that searching for love has on one’s life. Examples such as “good guy” and “Close To You” may draw similar messages.
Lyrics:
[Intro] One, two [Chorus] Moon river, wider than a mile I'm crossing you in style someday A dream maker (maker) My heart (you heart) breaker Wherever you're goin', I'm goin' that way (the same) [Refrain] Two drifters off to see the world There's such a crazy world to see We're all chasin' after all the same Chasin' after our ends [Chorus] Moon river, wider than a mile Crossin' in style someday My dream maker, heartbreaker Wherever you're goin', I'm goin' the same [Refrain] Two drifters off to see the world It's such a crazy world you'll see What I see, who I become What I see, who I become We're all chasin' after our ends Chasin' after our ends [Outro] Life's just around the bend, my friend Moon river and me
