First recorded in April 2016, “Love” is a track taken from Del Rey’s 2017 fourth studio album, "Lust For Life". The track was officially registered in mid-January 2017 as “Young And In Love”, revealing the producers to be Emile Haynie, Rick Nowels & Benny Blanco. Haynie previously produced Del Rey’s critically acclaimed 2012 studio album, Born to Die; Whilst Nowels contributed heavily to Del Rey’s previous albums and records, including her 2015 album, Honeymoon. The theme of the song is centered in the nostalgic feel she has, speaking about the freedom of youth, hinting that it’s the only chance in life to be wild and crazy, full of lust and joy. The song is directed to her fans and she's giving them an advice about enjoying life and that it's okay to feel sad sometimes. The song was made available officially hours later after it leaked on February 18th, 2017. Lana about the track on an interview in BBC Radio 1: “I'm happy that «Love» is the first single of the new record because I really love the message. It's a good representation where the album is headed, where the sound is headed.”
