It was released on 14 August 2020 after being previously teased by the singer on 5 August 2020 when she began posting clips of the track on social media. The track places half-way through the album as track # 7 and samples Stevie Nicks’ “Edge Of Seventeen”. There’s also a remix of the song titled “Edge Of Midnight” included in Cyrus’ album featuring Nicks.
