New Attitude

"New Attitude" is a song performed by Patti LaBelle. It was written by Sharon Robinson, Jon Gilutin, and Bunny Hull and produced by Harold Faltermeyer. The recording was included in the successful soundtrack to Beverly Hills Cop and then released as a single in December of 1984. In the spring of 1985, the single climbed to #17 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, #3 on the Hot R&B Singles chart, and #1 on the Hot Dance Music chart in a remixed form. "New Attitude" helped launch Patti LaBelle's solo career as a pop music singer after the singer had spent seven years without a crossover pop hit following the break-up of the Labelle trio.
