Something Comforting

First announced on March 9, 2020, by Porter on Twitter, “Something Comforting” is the second promotional single for Robinson’s second studio album Nurture. Porter tweeted out a video of himself describing the song on the day of its release. In the video, he explained how the track came at a peak of a “creative low point” in the creation Nurture, some time in 2015 or 2016. He was unsure whether he could continue creating music, but the song’s drop helped motivate him to continue writing for the album. He also revealed that he didn’t write another song for Nurture until 2018 and didn’t finish this song until 2019.
