Wiki:

"Now I'm Here" is a song by the English rock band Queen. The sixth song on their third album, Sheer Heart Attack, it was written by lead guitarist Brian May while he was in the hospital, seriously ill after contracting hepatitis from an infected vaccination. In the UK, the song hit #11 on the charts when released as a single in 1975. The song has many features on it including a solid vocal performance by Freddie Mercury, who hit some of the highest notes in his career. The song is also noted for its hard riff and vocal harmonies. The song remained a live favourite, performed at virtually every concert from late 1974 through 1986, often played in segments, with the ending played as a reprise. It was also featured on the 1997 compilation album Queen Rocks. In the accompanying music video, the band is seen playing at the Rainbow Theatre. * The lyric "Down in the city just Hoople and me" is a reference to when Queen was touring with the band Mott the Hoople earlier in their career. * Near the end, the lyrics "Go, go, go, little queenie" can be heard, a reference to the Chuck Berry's 1959 B-side "Little Queenie." * There is very rare and subtle use of organ on the 'climb' coming out of the guitar solo, beneath the lyrics "Whatever comes of you and me...". * In concert, a double was used with lighting cues to create the illusion that Mercury was disappearing from one side of the stage and reappearing on another.

[Intro] Here I stand (Here I stand) Look around, around Around, around, around But you won't see me Now I'm here (Now I'm here) (Now I'm here) Now I'm there (Now I'm there) (Now I'm there) I'm just a, just a new man Yes, you made me live again [Verse 1] A baby I was when you took my hand And the light of the night burned bright And the people all stared Didn't understand But you knew my name on sight [Pre-Chorus] Whatever came of you and me America's new bride to be Ooh, don't worry, baby I'm safe and sound [Chorus] Down in the dungeon just Peaches and me Don't I love her so? Yeah, she made me live again Yeah [Verse 2] A thin moon me in a smoke-screen sky Where the beams of your love-light chase Don't move, don't speak, don't feel no pain With the rain running down my face [Pre-Chorus] Your matches still light up the sky And many a tear lives on in my eye [Chorus] Down in the city just Hoople and me Don't I love him so? Ooh, don't I love him so? [Guitar solo] [Bridge] Whatever comes of you and me I'd love to leave my memory with you [Verse 3] Now I'm here (now I'm here) Think I'll stay around, around (think I'll stay around, around) Around, around, around, around (around, around, around, around) Down in the city just as you and me (down in the city just as you and me) Don't I love you so [Guitar Solo] [Outro] Go, go, go, little queenie! (Woo!)
