“Somebody Else” revolves around feeling affected by knowing that a past lover has allowed another person to come into their life in an intimate way. The song was first performed at a live show in Liverpool, and officially premiered as Zane Lowe’s World Record on Beats Radio 1 on February 15th, 2016. It was released as the fourth single from The 1975’s sophomore album, I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it. The official lyrics were posted to the band’s Twitter on the day of the song’s premiere.
