Wiki:

"Read My Mind" is a song by Las Vegas-based rock band The Killers and is the sixth track on their second album Sam's Town, released in October 2006. It peaked at #62 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also charted at #15 on the UK singles chart. In 2009 it was voted at Number 57 in UK radio station XFM's "100 Greatest Songs of All Time". The same year it was voted at Number 71 on another UK Radio Station Absolute Radio's 100 Best Songs Of The Decade. In an interview with Chicago radio station Q101, lead vocalist Brandon Flowers called "Read My Mind" the best song he has ever written. This is also seen by critics as one of the best, if not the best, Killers song to date. Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe (of Pet Shop Boys) saw The Killers in concert at Brixton Academy at the end of November 2006, where the idea of a remix for "Read My Mind" was discussed between the two parties. The resulting remix, "Pet Shop Boys 'Stars are blazing' mix" featuring additional vocals by Tennant and Lowe, is one of the B-sides for the single, and is featured on the Pet Shop Boys album Disco Four. This song was released as part of an iTunes EP on February 13, 2007, featuring an acoustic version and two remixes. It was also released as the third single from Sam's Town in the United Kingdom on February 26, 2007.

[Verse 1] On the corner of Main Street Just trying to keep it in line You say you wanna move on and You say I'm falling behind Can you read my mind? Can you read my mind? [Verse 2] I never really gave up on Breaking out of this two-star town I got the green light, I got a little fight I'm gonna turn this thing around Can you read my mind? (Oooh) Can you read my mind? (Oooh) [Chorus 1] The good old days, the honest man The restless heart, the Promised Land A subtle kiss that no one sees A broken wrist and a big trapeze Oh, well, I don't mind if you don't mind 'Cause I don't shine if you don't shine Before you go, can you read my mind? [Verse 3] It’s funny how you just break down Waiting on some sign I pull up to the front of your driveway With magic soaking my spine Can you read my mind? (Oooh) Can you read my mind? (Oooh) [Chorus 2] The teenage queen, the loaded gun The drop dead dream, the Chosen One A southern drawl, a world unseen A city wall and a trampoline Oh, well, I don't mind, if you don't mind 'Cause I don't shine if you don't shine Before you jump, tell me what you find When you read my mind [Bridge] Slipping in my faith until I fall He never returned that call Woman, open the door, don't let it sting I wanna breathe that fire again She said, "I don't mind, if you don't mind (I don't mind, if you don't mind) 'Cause I don't shine if you don't shine" (I don't shine if you don't shine) Put your back on me, put your back on me (I don't mind, if you don't mind) Oh, put your back on me Oooh [Outro] The stars are blazing like rebel diamonds cut out of the sun Can you read my mind? (Oooh oooh)
