The track was produced by Tricky Stewart and The-Dream, who was also featured on the album version for Usher's fifth studio album, Here I Stand. "Moving Mountains" was released to radio in the U.S. on June 24, 2008 as the third single from the album. It has reached number 67 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was released to US radios on June 24, 2008. It was released in Germany on August 8, 2008 to CD single, CD maxi and digital download formats. The single debuted at number 30 on the New Zealand Top 40, and soared into the top 10 at number six, becoming his second top 10 hit from Here I Stand. The song debuted on the UK Singles Chart in July 2008 and peaked at number 25, two weeks after the physical release.
